PInk snow and a chipmunk

Please be sure and go by  the site of Ms Beverly our hostess for pink Saturdays
http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

My first pink  is this cute little chipmunk. He has been a regular vistor to the Fergusons campground. They feed the little critter out of their hands. She said it was a real performer or a few peanuts. They set up this toy bicycle and put a peanut in the basket. The chipmunk jumped right up on the bike and took the peanut. I found this article in a Birds and Bloom magazine

Ever wonder what pink snow looks like?   Here is a lady that makes it happen

Stevie Famulari of Fargo knows how to set tongues wagging and for all right reasons. The girl is creative and has the guts…at least that is what it appears like when you see her front yard piled with colorful pink snow! Shouldn’t be coming as a surprise, she is an environmental artist and a landscape architecture professor at North Dakota State University. She changes the color of her snow with each new layer that falls. The next one is mostly purplish blue and black follows!
She causes no harm to anything or anyone as Famulari uses nontoxic water-based paint and a weed sprayer to paint the snow! It’s a much better way of using your snow instead of just shoving it aside! We love this!

Pink blessing to you all on this pink Saturday

  1. What a fun idea! If you want to do it on a smaller scale you just do your snowman! So cute. Love Mr Squirrel, too!
    Happy PS!

  7. Spray painting my snow is more work than I'd want to go through - but what the heck that pink looked nice- don't know if I want to be around to see the black layer.

Oh that Chipmonk is so darn cute.

  13. Love that chipmunk!! We have a few squirrels that visit our back yard everyday and drive my Weimaraner crazy. One day last week the squirrel was coming down the tree and Luigi just happened to be right there and their noses were literally about two inches apart. My sweet Luigi, who likes to think he's a hunting dog, just stared at it and then let it run off. Oh well! I guess he can dream.
And pink snow is such a fun, creative idea! I love it!!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  17. I generally don't like chipmunks and squirrels because of how destructive they can be, but they ARE cute! Love the pink snow too!

  18. Happy Pink Saturday Elaine Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share today. This little chipmunk is SO precious. I love the way she is sitting on the little bike with the peanut she received from the basket. Her gift of love.

How unique to paint snow. That gal has to much time on her hands. I am sure people do wonder what on earth? I love pink, but I am not sure I would want to paint the snow. Yep, the Pink Fairy came by for sure.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend sweetie. Thanks for sharing the unique stories. I loved them both. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
