White Christmas in the Future

I imagine this is what a white Christmas might look like in the future
This could be how we re-create a "white Christmas" in the future when the world is dead and barren. But right now it's an art installation called the "Hope Tree" that's actually built with paper within a shipping container. The surface of Hope Tree is made from paper panels punched with cutouts. It's illuminated by LEDs and when lit, it looks heavenly and ethereal.

The installation was built within the constraints of a shipping container (you know, those metal rectangular boxes) and was made for this year's Tokyo Designers Week 2010 by 24 degrees Studio.
