A sad blue snowman... Why? Maybe he is thinking that children have forgotten how to make them. I remember my sisters, brother and I making lots of them and finding coal in the basement for eyes and a scarf and hat and let's not forget something for a nose. What fun we had .
Below are some pictures I snapped on the way home today while driving to visit my son and family. I kept looking for a snowman.... but none did I spot. We have the ideal wet snow for making them.
The ones below are the same but I added a few snow flakes..can you see them?
Have a great week .
Amazing photos...a very different view from the drive we took today! The new snow always looks so fresh and pretty! I love your banner, too! I'm trying to see that beautiful quilt in the background! ♥
ReplyDeleteExquisite pictures, Elaine. Wish these scenes were in our yard ... alas, they are not yet.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week ~

Lovely snow shots and I'm a bit jealous! Your presentations are just lovely! (especially the top one!)
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrr. Too cold for snowman or women.
ReplyDeleteI have seen (not seen) the same phenomenon. No snowmen. It is sad.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowy photos. We've had no snow to speak of - I'm still hopeful.
ReplyDeleteA lovely post and your snow looks pretty. We had not had that much snow yet. When we do have some snow I will be looking for the snowmen. Great photos and mosaic, have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, as a child making snowmen was our main pastime in winter. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteLOL You've brought back memories of my brother and sister building a snowman. I was the child banging on the door, begging to be let back inside the warm house! Thanks for sharing your blues.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Elaine.
Beautiful snowman, beautiful blues:)
ReplyDeleteVisiting for Blue Monday! Here's my share-hope you can stop by:)

Aww, somebody needs to cheer that little snowman up! We don't get snow, except an occasional smattering, here in TX so not many snowmen : ( It's nice looking at your snowy pics though!
ReplyDeleteOh, your snow is so beautiful! We never get snow and I'd love to see a bit! Thanks for popping in to see me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Well, I was thinking how beautiful your header photo. And then how wonderful the crazy snowmen or women(isn't that a fir hat on the one?) How sad that your drive produced not a one snowman or kids making one even. We have weather in the 70's today and it's like a spring day instead of winter. Barren limbs, rarely a snowflake, mostly freezes here and there - but our winter is being as odd as our summer was hot. Also, I had to go and compare your recent comment to you - to be sure you are the Elaine I thought you were. Changed your profile photo and it threw me! Anyway, enjoyed your Blue Monday. Thanks for stopping by the other day! Jenn
ReplyDeleteThe snow has finally arrived and stayed here. It must have been fun adding the additional snow to your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully captured.
ReplyDeletePlease come and see my Blue, have a great week!
Your snow pictures are beautiful, Elaine. I always dream of having a home in the mountains, and when I open my door, there is a blanket of snow right before my eyes...maybe someday.

Your pretty snow pictures are gorgeous! Love the blue snowman! He needs a friend to make him smile!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Winter impressions.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW, what gorgeous pictures, Elaine and I love your collage!

You blue snowman is so cute. Love the bird too. When my grands come to the mountains to snow ski, they always make a snowman if we have snow. This year we do not have much snow. Your snow pics are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeanne
I like your added snowflakes. We just had our first snow since the terrible damaging October snowstorm.
