This blog brought back some childhood memories. I remember when growing up I was always a movie buff...I think I got it from my Mom. We used to go see a movie every Saturday.. My grandfather always gave us money every week and I would buy movie magazines. Lately I have been shopping at a local thrift store and they have gotten in lots of old movie magazine or those from early TV.. about ten as thy were five for $1.00.
Below are a few I picked up last week.
Here is a couple that brought laughs to our living rooms for years . ..and Lucy went on to make a name for herself later. This is from a 1954 issue that cost twenty-five cents.
Elvis ..how we girls swooned over him and his looks and music. Did he have an affair with Ann-Margret? only they know. This is from the year 1964.
Doris Day ...She was an all American girl that could sing, dance and act.
And another great lady of the silver screen.. Sophia Loren. What great movies she made.
Have a wonderful day .
Oh I love these old movie magazines..what fun!
ReplyDeleteNothing really like the old tv stars and movies stars of years gone by.
Thank you for visiting me ....your blog is lovely!
Oh how I adored watching Doris Day's movies when I was a kid. She was always so happy and full of spunk.

I REMEMBER ALL OF THOSE. HOW OLD DOES THAT MAKE ME AGAIN? HAHA!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE KAY
I love Sophia Loren! I saw an interview with her. She is beautiful as ever even after AARP! But her late husband was kind of a non celebrity guy and yet her love for him is remarkable. She is and always has been one of my favorite people! I love those old magazines. What a cool memory you posted today! Anne
