She used a page from an old calender...so I decided to try one myself. Since I didn't have any with flowers I used another old one that had porches on it.
I took the page and folder in the edges like she did
When I turned it over it looked like this
I then folded it up so it would be an envelope size
Next I put on an address label and I think it looks pretty good for the first time.
To seal it you use some scotch tape
After talking to my girlfriend about the envelope....she said she has used many colorful pages from magazines and old calenders. They do make pretty envelope and not expensive.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.
I love it..how I wish I had all the calenders I've thrown away. Some were really pretty.. thanks so much for this wonderful idea..

What a great idea! You know I am all about recycling. I wish I could get my dining table cleaned off. It is full of old boxes and glass jars that need to be glammed up. ReplyDeleteI love making my own envelopes and a friend gave me the idea of using calendar pages several years ago. It's such a fun way to brighten up the mail, both for the postal workers as well as the person you're sending to.
