I asked the guy in charge how much for the box of ornaments and he said ten cents each. I must have gave him a little over two dollars for this box of delightful treasures. treasures. These are just a few of them. In the box was a three piece set of Dorothy..the tin man and the scarecrow. These I gave to my daughter Gwen who loves "The Wizard of Oz"
Some of the ornaments are done in crewel work, with lots of hand stitching like these below. You an see they were done around 1979..which makes them about thirty years old.
The next two pictures are some of the ornaments in the box.
There were wreaths, Christmas stockings,rocking horse,gumball machine and much more This little couple may have been Hansel and Gretal
This looks like a happy little guy..maybe because he got a bone for Christmas.
You can tell by looking at these that a lot of time was spent on these.
There was cutting, stuffing,putting on sequins and ribbons.
Yes,I did put these on my tree when my grandchildren were young.

Oh such treasures. Someone did take a lot of time and love to makes those. So glad they found a new home with some to love them still. Made me go AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
