Monday comes again

Blue Monday is here again .  The past week just flew by.   Isn't there a saying about the older you get the faster the days and years hurry us along?  The days pass so quickly and I have not done so many things I had planned ... I finally realized I was pushing myself to hard and need to take more me time and do the things I really enjoy doing.     So maybe we should all take some  of my advice below...


                 

  I want more time to spend with the great-grandson and family . Maybe read a bit  more, gardening and dine out with friends.     I like this quote by Samuel Butler
  
    "Every one should keep a mental wastepaper basket and the older he grows the more things he will consign to it - torn up to irrecoverable tatters."

                                   These cupcakes are just to pretty to eat...

  One thing I really miss is having someone bring me breakfast in bed when I was not feeling well or on special occasions... My late husband was good at that ..

    Oh yes!!! Let's all of us, no matter what our age, make room for the things which bring us JOY!

    If we have to cut out other things, to have that time-for-Joy, so be it. Simplify is one of the most beautiful words in the English language, to me.

    Take some time to think-on what we really want to spend our time on. And make sure we can do so. As much as is humanly possible, that is. :-)

    I agree that time is flying way to fast these days.
    I would like a cupcake but like you said they are just to cute to eat.

    I remember my father saying how fast the time flew the older he got...but never understood it until I got to be older myself. The breakfast in bed thing---it is sometimes the little things we miss most of all, isn't it? xo Diana
