Taking a trip

I am going with my son and family to Chicago to see my grandson Cody graduate from the Navy. He left before Christmas and this will be the first time we have seen him since then. Becca, his wife and son are looking forward to the trip... I can't wait until we are all together for the weekend. Then he will go to California for three more months of schooling.

I hope to have a few stories and pictures when I come back.

  1. I remember when my son graduated from Coast Guard Boot camp and we all went up. It was such a proud time. Have a safe and wonderful trip. Thank him for us for his service and we'll keep him in our prayers.

  2. Safe travels! My neighbor just graduated from Marine Boot Camp this winter and is now in training as a real Marine. His mother sent me an email with a picture of him holding this monster weapon. She said, "I am pretty sure I never signed a permission slip for him to handle guns like that!"
I thank all the fine young men...and older ones as well...who serve our country!

  3. Hi Elaine,
Oh, I hope you have a wonderful trip--and please tell him that we will keep him in our prayers. I have made a post of the beautiful gifts you sent to me, so when you get back, I hope you'll have a chance to come see my post...It's called "A Week of Surprises."

    Sending (((hugs))) your way,
    Cindy
