A thrift find

The other day I stopped by the thrift store and found a package done up that said baby blankets. I thought I'd pick them up to have when the grand kids come over. After taking them out of the bag, I saw they were not blankets but pillow shams. Taken by not looking closer....but I thought hey I can salvage them. I sewed up the back flaps where the pillow went in and I still have two throws for the babies and I am using them since I have Elena for several night.

Here she is wide awake this morning and such a sweetie.

Here is another one of her sleeping and using the blanket/ pillow shame

Will check out a couple more blogs while she is sleeping.

  3. They are cute and worked out! I've gotten so I'm careful about what the workers mark on linens then bag or tape up like it's Fort Knox. Love that adorable sleeping baby! Cute!!

  4. Your Granddaughter is super cute. Those pillow shams do make cute baby blankets - once you made it safer.
