Tea with Holly

It's time for tea again. I have always loved the Holly Hobbie tea sets. I have a fondness for all things that has the picture of Holly on it as you can see . I have large plates, eggs, trinket boxes, glassware, jewelry, wrapping paper, tiny plates, vases and a lunch box among the items and more. i found a book done by Holly Hobbie and it has a hundred or so of her drawings. It is my most favorite of all the collection.

Holly is still publishing her work today. You will find it in the book below.

Does anyone else out there like Holly Hobbie? There is just something in her pictures that remind me of my twin sister and childhood fantasies

  4. Oh Elaine Sweetie...
I love Holly Hobbie too. I so remember my daughter and her bedroom Holly Hobbie accessories. Her whole room was done up in it. She even had a quilt at one time. I was sad when she outgrew it, and I can't even tell you where it all went. Sadly probably the GoodWill but yes we loved Holly Hobbie.

I think the thing that is most loved about her for me anyway, is the country look. I love country and she just says "Country Girl all over her." I love the patchwork about her, and that you never really see her face, just the side view. I think she reminds me of Little House on the Prairie.

Thanks for sharing sweetie. I so enjoyed my visit this morning. Country hugs, Sherry

  5. Oh, yes! I love Holly Hobbie :) I have the same image on a little walll plaque. Can't get enough HH stuff. She makes me happy. I've got some decorative plates, a mug, couple of plaques, a tin, a vintage metal wastebasket with Holly and Robbie Hobbie on either side.
Thanks for sharing. As I said, she always makes me smile.

  9. I LOVE HOLLY ALSO. I REMEMBER DOING A GRID MOBILE AND DONATED IT TO A HOSPITAL HERE IN THE AREA FOR THE CHILDRENS WARD. HUH, I WONDER IF THEY STILL HAVE IT? IT WAS YEARS AND YEARS AGO. IT PROBABLY FELL APART FROM AGE.
I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE CHRISTMAS HOLLY'S.
    LOVE KAY
