A gift I'll treasure...my twin

We had so much fun growing up. What a cute pair we were back then.

We lived on a farm when growing up and our Mother sent us to the hen house to gather eggs, I think we were about five years old. So the story is that we decided not to take the eggs in the house but stopped in the shed where we found some quart jars and decided we would like to crack the eggs open and stir them up...just like we saw Mother and Grandmother do. I think you know we were in big trouble...

We still like to reminisce about our years growing up. We always had each other to lean on in good times and bad. She lives in North Carolina and I live in Michigan. We share many common interests... We both are widows and we try to talk on the phone every week and see each other when possible....but there is one thing I have and she does not yet. That is grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has four children and still no little ones running around. I would love for her to have and know the joy that grand babies can bring. She said she's too old for that now...I say no way. Maybe someday.

I sent hugs out to all those who have a twin.
Share a hug and smile with your sister today.

  2. I love that first photo! You know, I was thinking, I didn't send Aunt Eileen the pics of you and mom with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Danny. Maybe you could scan the pics I gave you and send it to her. I wouldn't even attempt to send them pictures by email. They might never get them open. :/ The pictures we took at Uncle Danny's turned out great. I still haven't gotten an email from him. :) Hope you are having a terrific Thursday! Love, T

  3. What a cute story. I bet your two cuties were a hand full.
What a great gift to have a twin sister. My sister and I are twins born nine years apart. I'm the oldest but we are so much alike that it is scary. We are miles apart too and at times I miss her so much.

Big hugs to you and your sister and all sisters everywhere.

    hugs
