This is one of my favorites from the movie Pocahontas. Some of you may be surprised to know the song in the movie was sung by Vanessa Williams. Many of us remember her from the"Ugly Betty" show and her role as Wilhelmina Slater.
Vanessa Lynn Williams (born March 18, 1963) is an American model, singer, songwriter and actress. In 1983, she became the first woman of African-American descent to be crowned Miss America, but a scandal caused her to relinquish her title early. Williams rebounded by launching a career as an entertainer, earning Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award nominations.
