Little by little these brave little flowers poke their heads up and hope there is no snow and plenty of sunshine to warm their roots. I do a walk around the house most everyday to see what brave little souls are
trying to gather their strength to make an appearance. It's a ritual of all us gardeners I believe.
"The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day.
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
a cloud come over the sunlit arch,
And wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March."
- Robert Frost, Two Tramps in Mud Time, 1926
Warm wishes for a wonderful new week that lies ahead of us. God bless.
Beautiful! What a lovely post. I wish you still had some veges as that is so rewarding for the kids to come along and find. Blackberries and anything edible is a wonderful experience for the kids (minus the bees or wasps that might make their presence know. :) So happy you can find much growth and many beautiful things in your gardens. Love, T
