Tuesday greeting

Little Boy Blue,
Come blow your Horn
The sheep's in the meadow,
The cows in the corn.

How can a little boy
mind his sheep
Under the haystack,
Fast asleep?

Now that there is little ones around again I have been looking for nursery rhyme books and others to read to the great-grandchildren

I read to all my grandchildren and the older one always called me the book grandma. Today he would like to teach English and he has done some writing of sport columns for a newspaper and an Internet site.

. This is Ryder and he is nine months....He has not started to crawl yet but rolls to whereever he wants to go
Babies are such a nice way to start people. ( Don Herold)

  1. Ryder is so cute with his little tie on. Zack is reading like a crazy boy (a book of several hundred pages in several days) and Yusef still doesn't care much about books at all. What a pretty bunny plate! Hope you are having a great day! :) Love, Tammy

  2. I was thinking recetly about how the fairy tales and mother Goose rhymes are about to be completely forgotten. I also remember my mother reading classis tales of Br'er Rabbit.

  3. Good morning! I love children's literature. Not just the sweet poems and stories but the wonderful illustrations as well. Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm wondering where you live, I'm in southwest Michigan. We might be closer than we think! :) Have a blessed day!

  4. Ryder is adorable! So great to be known as the book Grandma - that really is special, and speaks to the kind of loving, take-time grandmother that you are!
