The First Blue Mosaic Monday of 2012

Wishing all who have left comments on my blog a Happy New Year.
I am posting with Sally from http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/   for our new blue Monday
and  Mary from  http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com for mosaic Monday

This past weekend  I went to the Frederick Meijier garden with family
to see the display of 40 Christmas trees  decorated in theme from other countries.
I picked this one to show .. Lots of blue on it.

This tree represents the Netherlands with it blue Dutch Delftware

My daughter Gwen is admiring the tree done for Germany
Below displayed from the ceiling is the work of Dale Chihuly.

This is some of the blue glassware sculpture.

  10. Pretty trees, but that Chihuly artwork is dynamite! I was lucky to see his work at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens a couple of years ago. He is so awesome, especially in a garden!

  14. The Chihuly glass is lovely. I saw a large exhibit of it at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. One of the pieces in the atrium was 40 feet tall and lime green! Nancy
