Thrift shopping and a pair of dolls

My weekly trip to my favorite thrift store was today and this is what I brought home.

They were only 99 cents each. They had four of them but I wasn't greedy..I just bought two.

They are adorable and in good condition. There is a bit of discoloration on the front but it makes them perfect..... yes they have a body and legs.

I am thinking my great granddaughter in a year or so would love these..or not.

Look at all the colorful stitching and detail that went into these precious dolls.

This one below is rather plain on top but has a beautiful skirt.

I am wondering if they were made from old pillow cases or table cloths Hope all you in blogland are having a wonderful day. I am off to see my great-granddaughter for a visit.

FROM MY HOUSE TO YOURS.

  5. VERY PRETTY FINDS. WHAT LITTLE GIRL WOULDN'T FALL IN LOVE WITH THESE? THEY LOOK LIKE PILLOW CASES TO ME. I REMEMBER GRANDMA LAMBERT AND MOM MAKING PILLOW CASES LIKE THESE. I THINK I STILL HAVE ONE HERE SOMEWHERE THAT MOM MADE ME.

  7. Oh my gosh I love them. I have one that is tea dyed. I have not yet made her quilt but fully intend to then place her a chair I found at the goodwill for .99. I think she will be lovely when done. Hugs. Tammy
