A time To Give Thanks.

Soon it will be Thanksgiving .. We all have so much to be thankful for.  Families..health... friends, a roof over our heads and food to sustain our bodies.

I remember when my grandmothers and mother always put on an apron when cooking or serving food, not to mention the dishes afterwards.  I hope everyone has one for turkey day. Years ago my husband bought me one at a craft fair with chickens on it. I do cherish it.

Below our two items I won from blogger giveaways..  I want to thank  Jane from  http://mamiejanes.blogspot.com/   and Ciao Bella from http://www.creativecarmelina.blogspot.com/

My friend Norma sent me this Thanksgiving prayer and I will share
this with you all..    Have a nice Thanksgiving weekend.

My THANKSGIVING PRAYER TO YOU

LORD, WE STILL SING THE TRADITIONAL THANKSGIVING HYMNS, THO' FEW OF US ENGAGE IN THE HARVEST ANYMORE, BECAUSE WE ARE ALL GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE GIFTS OF FIELDS AND FARM.

BUT THANKSGIVING HAS A DIFFERENT MEANING FOR MANY OF US.WE'RE THANKFUL FOR LIFE AND FAMILY AND FRIENDS, FOR PEOPLE WHO RESPECT US AS PERSONS, FOR A WORLD WHERE THERE IS STILL OPPORTUNITY AND CHALLENGE.

WE'RE THANKFUL FOR HOPES AND DREAMS AND VISIONS; FOR FAMILIES THAT LOVE AND ACCEPT AND LISTEN; FOR COMMUNITIES, LARGE AND SMALL THAT SUPPORT AND STIMULATE US.

AND WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR LOVE AS WE HAVE SEEN IT IN JESUS CHRIST, AS WE HAVE FELT IT IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH ONE ANOTHER AND AS WE RESPOND TO IT IN OUR OWN LIVES.

TO YOU, OH GOOD AND GRACIOUS GOD, WE LIFT OUR VOICES IN SONG.

I collect aprons so I will surely have one to wear on Thurs. Love your prayer. Thanks for sharing. Couldn't tell, was one of your give away wins an old rusty pulley? Love it! Happy Thanksgiving to you. Now a new follower.
