Toys for Tots party

Saturday evening  I attened a Toys for Tots party given by Bev and her husband Randy. They do this every year at their home. They ask friends and family to drop by and bring an unwrapped toy for under the tree or some canned goods..  All of  the items collected are then dropped off at a local Toys for Tots location and food pantry..   Bev and her husband  decorate inside and out so you can't help but feel like it's Christmas. Bev even dressed as Mrs Clause.

Bev cooks and bakes for days before. Besides the dining room table loaded with food there is little tables scattered about with yummy treats

The tree is decorated and beneath  it is  toys for all ages.  ...boy or girl.  There were dolls, trucks, games, stuffed animals, musical toys and so much more

Here is one of her cute snowman decorations. Love his happy smile.

There is always a warm feeling when you give to others .

  3. Oh What a Wonderful Idea...
I love it so much thank you for sharing with me. I love Bev in her Mrs Claus costume, and she really is Mrs Claus collecting toys from her elves to pass on to Santa. So beautiful sweetie. This is such a great cause. It gives me hope that there are still children out there getting a little something for the holiday. There are so many who have no hope because they have never received. I adopt a couple of children from the mall trees. It is such a wonderful feeling, and their wants are usually so small. We can all do a little something.

Again, thanks for sharing. God bless you all. Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

  5. That is such a wonderful and cheerful way to spend the evening. I attended many parties like that when I lived in Cordele, GA, and then would help sort everything by age and deliver it. Gives you such a warm feeling to know you are doing something important to help a child have a happy holiday! Wow! Bev certainly had lots of food and goodies there. It all looks fantastic! Love ya, Tammy
