Thurday greeting

My clay pot of snowmen done up with some blue paint
and white dots for snow. The smowmen are made of
wood and painted. I picked it up at a craft show a few years ago.
They say we are to have some snow in the next few days.
I have got them out just in time to welcome it.

Below are two cereal boxes that I covered with paper and will use them for gifts.
I like the unusual shape of them and the fact they
have plastic lids. I know my niece Tammy from T's Daily Treasures
has been recycling her boxes also.

Wondering --will there be snow on the ground when I wake up. It will be our
first for the year.
I always said " if only the Lord would just keep it off the roads and sidewalks".

I guess that's a wish only a genie could grant

  1. Your little pot of snowmen is adorable. I could create something like that. So many ideas, so little time. I am soooo glad to see you are recycling the cereal boxes. I keep every cardboard box and shoe box -- anything that can be repurposed, and cover it prettily in scrapbook or gift wrap paper to make a pretty new item for gift giving. It truly is ridiculous all the stuff that gets thrown that can be reused and people just go out to buy more stuff to throw away. I'm running out of storage space so need to start spreading the joy. HA! Bundle up and stay safe and warm! From Sunday, they are saying we will have 40 days of cold -- not as cold as you guys but certainly cold for Kuwait. Warm blessings and hugs to you, Tammy

  2. I love the cereal boxes with plastic lids. I haven't seen those but what great gift holders. I recycle as much as I can. I have a snowman in a metal bucket a very good friend gave me several years ago...now to dig it out!

  4. Hi Elaine, What a great idea on covering those boxes. Wow I'm looking in my pantry right now to see what I can dump into something else or use quickly! It reminded me of the year the kids were saving tin can labels for a school project and they took all the labels off our food cans and we had surprise meals for a long time! Warm hugs, Mollye

  6. LOVE THE SNOWMEN IN THE BLUE POT. SURE IS CUTE. GREAT IDEA ON THE BOXES. LOVE THE PLASTIC LIDS. LOVELY PAPER YOU COVERED THEM WITH. WE HAVE A RECYCLING DAY ONCE A MONTH HERE AND I PUT ALOT OF STUFF OUT FOR THAT. IF I NEED A BOX BEFORE IT COMES, I USE IT THEN.
    LOVE KAY
