As winter approached and it started to snow I put him in the house one night. My cat was not thrilled!!! He ate and wanted back out and so I put him out knowing he would find shelter.
Lately he has decided he would like to come in and will stay for hours and some times spends the night. Below is a picture of him sitting on the steps trying to decide if he wants in.
I have tried to find the owner and so far, no luck. I even tied a string and note around his neck thinking maybe he had another home...not the case though.
Here he sits in the window looking out and below he is nice and warm in the bed I bought for my cat years ago and she would not use it. I'm sure he must have belonged to someone as he is litter trained and very gentle even though he has claws.
Yes the two cats do share the house...mine just pretends he isn't here and spends her time sleeping on my bed . I'm sure he will spent time warming up before wanting back out again.
What a sweetie! He does look so comfortable in that little bed. His peachy fur is so soft looking. How wonderful to know that he is nice and warm for a bit. We have so many cats in the streets around here. It is so very sad! I keep recycled plastic containers from takeout in my car and cat food also and feed them every day. It's the most that I can do for them. There are a few who look for me and come running when they hear the container being shook. One had two babies but now she is down to one, although I haven't even seen that little one in many days. It's a good thing you are doing for this poor cat that someone must have put out. Have a wonderful day! Love, Tammy
ReplyDeleteYou need to give this kitty a name now mom. I think he is happy to have found you , especially in this weather. You could name him Keeper as he is a keeper:)

Oh my heart breaks for cats out in the cold. We have a neighborhood cat and he likes to stay in our carport when it is cold. We put a bed out there for him and have seen him snuggle in when the temp drops. You are a good person to take in this kitty!
ReplyDeleteYour kitty has chosen you. I'm glad you've given him a home.
ReplyDeleteI rescued my kitty Oscar in 2008 and he is such a joy. In fact he's peacefully sleeping next to me as I type this comment.
Best Wishes for the New Year!
You are such a lovely person..thank you for helping this sweet kitty. He looks so warm and comfy in the little bed. I hope he stays with you..it's so cold for little animals to be outdoors now.
ReplyDeleteI've just discovered your blog through Pink Saturday and have become a follower. I really like your blog..and I like that you love animals so much... I hafta come back and read more of your blog..it's a wonderful one.
THAT CAT HAS FOUND THE PERFECT HOME FOR LOVE AND WARMTH. I THINK THE NAME KEEPER IS A GOOD ONE ALSO. HE LOOKS VERY MUCH AT HOME. AND MISS-T WILL GET USED TO KEEPER AFTER AWHILE. OF COURSE, MISS-T IS SET IN HER WAYS. ONCE SHE GETS USED TO NOT BEING THE ONLY ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE SHE WILL BE OK.
